The currency in the United Kingdom is Pounds Sterling (£).
Note: The registration fee does not cover the Presidential
Dinner nor the cost of overnight accommodation.

The Conference Venue
The conference will take place in The Skeel Lecture
Theatre, People's Palace, Queen Mary, University of London,
Mile End Road, London. A map of the University Campus is available
here,
the People's Palace is No. 33.
Delegates will be able to collect their registration packs on
the morning of 16th December in The Great Hall and People's
Palace Foyer.

A reduced registration fee is available for BSPP Members, BSPP
Student members and HGCA levy-payers.

Accommodation
A limited number
of rooms have been booked for the evening of 16th December,
2008 at the Express by Holiday Inn London-Stratford (http://www.express-holidayinn.com),
approximately 2 miles (3.5 km) from the conference venue. The
Express by Holiday Inn London-Stratford is close to Stratford
Station which is served by Central Line, Jubilee Line, Docklands
Light Rail, Silverlink trains and ONE trains.
Queen Mary, London is situated
5 minutes walk from Mile End Road Station one stop on the
Central Line from Straford Station or approximately 30 minutes
walk from the hotel.

Presidential Dinner:
All Delegates £30
The Presidential Dinner will take place on the evening of
16th December in The Octagon, Queens' Building, Queen Marys,
University of London (Number 1 on the Map - see here).
Music will be provided by 'Oh la la!' a group that plays jazz
and pop with a French twist (see http://www.ohlalamusic.co.uk).
Transport will be provided after the dinner to the Express
by Holiday Inn Hotel.
Presidential Dinner Fee:
All Delegates £30
NOTE: The charge for a BSPP/HGCA member electing to
attend the whole conference, with 1 night's accommodation
and the Presidential Dinner will be £175. BSPP Student
members will pay £85 (£115 if they wish to attend
the Presidential Dinner).
Fees: what's included and how to pay
The registration fee includes lunches and refreshments during
the breaks throughout the conference.
Accommodation charges include bed and breakfast accommodation
for the night of 16th of December.
The Presidential Dinner on the evening of the 16th of September
is charged separately.
All fees can be paid by credit card, cheque or bank transfer.
Payment must be received prior to the meeting.
Credit card
Credit card is our preferred method of payment for
online registration. The information taken will be by secure
server safeguarding the security of all our credit card transactions.

Cheques should be in Pounds Sterling and made payable
to 'BSPP Meetings' and mailed (together with a print out of
your Registration Confirmation, available at the end of the

PLEASE NOTE: you are not officially registered until
your cheque has cleared in the BSPP Meetings Account.
Bank transfer
Participants wishing to pay by bank transfers must
ensure that the full amount is paid into the BSPP Meetings
account. This payment must be free of all bank charges to
the BSPP Meetings account.

Joining the BSPP:
The annual subscription for the BSPP is £50;
student, retired and unemployed members can join for £25.
Details can be found here.
Membership includes an annual subscription to either Plant
Pathology or Molecular Plant Pathology and participation at
the Society's meetings at a reduced registration fee. Members
are also eligible to apply to the Travel Fund for financial
assistance with registration and travel expenses.
